Whilst I was in Paris earlier in the summer I was lucky enough to bump into Croation born menswear designer Damir Doma at his Parisian studio where I managed to get a few shots of him on my LCA+. What a lovely, welcoming and genuine guy. Its always the people really DOING IT and making waves that seem to be the most humble and personable. I blog a lot about the beauty and my love of lomography but here demonstrates the risks taken when using one. I was upset to see the lack of focus and detail in the shots, especially when they are of someone important who I may not get the chance to shoot again! Having said that I cant help but like the tactile, soft and warm feeling in the shots. Look out for Damir Doma’s work its causing waves in the industry and the SS10 collection is amazing. At last I have had my 35mm Holga films scanned. Taken on a trip to LA earlier in the year; I ran 35mm film through my standard 12o Holga. The result, a frame that completely covers the nagative, including the teeth holes! The camera needs to be DIY adapted and involves a lot of taping to avoid light leaks but it was so worth the extra effort, I love the effect. Would really like to experiment more with this technique and will, as soon as a suitable job come in! Shout out to the boys x

Mr Hare is a London based shoe designer who has just launched his first collection of mens shoes and is receiving a great amount of coverage in the fashion media. I met up with him 10 days ago to film, interview and shoot his portrait for oki-ni. Mr Hare doesn’t like to show his face. I was under strict instruction to keep the portraits anonymous! One challenge I really enjoyed and hopefully rose too? Really happy with the feel of the shots, look out for them on oki-ni soon.

My Lomo LCA+ continues to amaze me, this time with images taken on a day trip to Brighton. Seems to shoot blue skies really well and continues to move towards the front of my camera shelf, so good that im shooting a professional job with it this week ! The ‘New Faces of Menswear’  project that I have been working on at oki-ni.com is almost ready for launch and its startig to gather a bit of momentum in the press. The first magazine to feature the feature for their summer issue is WAD magazine, out of Paris. They have featured the images of the clothing which I havent previously mentioned, they work really well, especially as a series and I am really happy with them. Shout out to John Skelton for his inspired stylling ! Keep watching, lots to talk about this week.
